1.1 EuCAP 2019 grant

A limited number of grants will be awarded to young authors (aged below 35) of high quality papers from developing countries, who are not able to pay the conference fee. Each grant provides free access to the conference (i.e. free registration)

Application requirements

After notification of acceptance of the paper the request for grant application has to arrive spontaneously by email until 31 January, 2019

The applicant has to send:

  • the submitted paper
  • a CV including the list of publications
  • a supporting letter from his supervisor (for a PhD or master student)
  • and from his institution (e.g. head of laboratory)

The request for grant application has to arrive spontaneously by email until 31 January 2019

  • The decisions will be transmitted to applicants by 31 January 2019
  • Discount codes will be provided to the recipients of grants before the authors' registration deadline (12 February 2019)
  • For the concerned countries, it is highly recommended to request the visa as soon as possible, right after the paper acceptance announcements (19 December, 2018)

1.2 TICRA grant

TICRA announces 3 travel grant opportunities

TICRA Foundation announce that they offer 3 travel grants of EUR 1,000 each at the EuCAP 2019 conference in Krakow, Poland. Individuals who have a paper accepted for EuCAP 2019 can apply for one of the travel grants.
The successful candidates will be selected based on the author’s potential or demonstrated aptitude for research. Applicants from all regions and career stages are encouraged to apply.

Application requirements
To be considered for the travel grants, applicants are required to provide the following:

  • Motivational letter (max ½ page)
  • Brief resumé (max 2 pages)
  • Full conference paper
  • Copy of conference paper acceptance


As the travel grants will be given during the conference dinner at EuCAP 2019, the awardees are required to make their own travel arrangements to the conference.

Application deadline
Please submit your motivational letter, resumé, conference paper and a copy of the conference paper acceptance to with “Travel grant” in the subject line no later than 31 January 2019. Successful candidates will be notified by 15 February 2019.
The selection of successful candidates will be made by a committee at TICRA.

2.1 COST

Each COST action have a dedicated sigificant budget allocation for researcher mobility and participation in conferences.
Note: you must participate in the COST and apply for grant within the same COST.

The following eligibility criteria apply:

  1. Conference Grants are exclusively reserved for PhD students and ECI’s with a primary affiliation in an institution located in an ITC.
  2. The applicant must make an oral/poster presentation at the conference in question and must be listed in the official event/conference programme. The main subject of the oral presentation / poster presentation / speech at the approved conference must be on the topic of the Action and must acknowledge COST (see Section 10).
  3. The participation of each applicant must be pre-approved by the Action MC.

 

A Conference Grant is a contribution to the overall travel, accommodation and meal expenses of the selected Grantee. The calculation of the financial contribution for each Conference Grant must respect the following criteria:

  • Up to a maximum of EUR 2 500 in total can be afforded to each successful applicant;
  • Up to a maximum of EUR 160 per day can be afforded for accommodation and meal expenses.
  • Up to a maximum of EUR 500 can be claimed for the conference fees to be incurred by the selected Grantee.

2.2 Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA)

Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) provide grants for all stages of researchers' careers - be they doctoral candidates or highly experienced researchers - and encourage transnational, intersectoral and interdisciplinary mobility. The MSCA are open to all domains of research and innovation, from fundamental research to market take-up and innovation services. Research and innovation fields are chosen freely by the applicants (individuals and/or organisations) in a fully 'bottom-up' manner.

2.3 Horizon 2020 (H2020)
