AMTA Technical Tours
Two different technical tours will be offered to delegates during the conference sponsored by AMTA.
Delegates must register in advance to secure a place as there is a limited number of places per visit which are allocated on a first come first served basis.
Guided Tour in the Polish Aviation Museum

One of the best collections of aircraft, from the earliest aeroplanes of the 1910s to recently decommissioned jet fighters. Launched in 1964 on the site of former Rakowice-Czyżyny air-force base and commercial airport, the museum has taken up most of their buildings and tarmac. The collection contains more than 200 aircrafts including the largest number of MIG fighters among all aviation museums in the world. Visit to the radar station of Krakow International Airport

During the visit the airport approach radar station of Krakow International Airport will be presented. Nowadays Krakow International Airport with almost 7 million annual passenger traffic is the second busiest in Poland. The airport approach radar is operated by the Polish National Air Service (www.pansa.pl) and the radar is located on a hill not far away from the airport. The radar is one of ten FIS radar in Polish airspace and its major upgrade was completed in 2012.
